My Project

Hello all,

I am a creative teacher who is transitioning to third grade in a school system that includes 60% homeless children.

Most of the students in the school have experienced some kind of trauma in their lives. I want them to experience current teaching practices while giving my students, the power to learn in positions, most comfortable to them. It’s designed to increase focus by allowing students to lean, lounge, rock, wobble, or stand, and in general be freer with their movements. My students do not have much control in their lives. Please help me give them an opportunity to have a daily choice on where they want to sit.
