Cooperative Play Learning

Help me give my students a play store to promote cooperative play and financial literacy.

My Students

My school provides opportunities for children from all cultures, areas, and various incomes to learn and thrive within the district. Helping fund my project, you'll become part of a community committed to ensuring that our students make it to and through college.

All of our students receive free meals.

Over 95% are minority, and just over 15% are special needs students. Our students work super hard and they are eager and excited to learn. A child who attends our school is four times more likely to graduate from college than their peers, and we hope to see that number continue to rise in the coming years.

My Project

My students' favorite center is playing with our play cash register and pretend store food. Students develop their collaborative learning skills and learn to use money in a fun way. I want to expand their experience with a store when they play together during our center time.

Students are developing entrepreneur skills and money management with their pretend play.

They are excited to play with the small store items we already have every day. My students would be excited beyond belief if they could have a pretend store in addition to the store items we have.
