Turn off that screen and work together! There is so much joy and power in technology - and it's important that there are times we turn them off and our kids have the opportunity to play and interact with each other. We prioritize outside playtime with kids, but there are times in Rainy Seattle when kids are not dressed for the downpour, and we want to continue to give them space to play and interact together in a loosely structured environment.
Board games offer a variety of educational and developmental benefits for elementary school students.
With your support, we can get more games for after-school clubs and rainy day recesses. These board games will allow students to strengthen their working memory, critical thinking skills, communication, sportsmanship, mathematical reasoning and computation, strategy and probability, reading and language skills, critical thinking, turn-taking, and so much more!
