My Students

My students are young, curious, and full of energy. They thrive with hands on learning in a positive and enriching environment. Every student his their own unique personality and truly make every day an exciting adventure when working with them.

The school I work in is a special school in a low income neighborhood, Many families of my students have limited resources available to them and are unable to donate to the classroom.

Every child in my classroom comes in excited to learn and interact with their peers. While many of my students learn in different ways we individualize our instruction in a variety of ways to ensure that their needs are being met in a way that is engaging and interesting to them.

My Project

All of these toys are very useful in order to get my students to work and play together. Play like talking on a phone, building a house together, or taking care of a pet motivates kids to work together and build their social skills through dramatic play.

Many of my students struggle with pretend play and playing with their peers.

My hope is that these toys will spark their interest and encourage them to reach out and play with their peers. This year we have lots of kids struggling playing with peers and new materials is a perfect way to bring out their social skills.
