My Students

My students have a wide range of strengths and capabilities. Our year is filled with functional academics, independent living skills, vocational tasks, arts and crafts, cooking, dancing, mindfulness, socializing, and much, much more.

These 9 spectacular students are kind, funny, and very upbeat.

They love socializing with each other and ensuring that no one gets left behind. Their positive energy always brightens my day. This will be a great year and I am very excited to start off strong!

My Project

It's time for an updated classroom! My students deserve a cool classroom with fans that are not rusty, loud, or far away.

The shelves, clothing racks, hooks, and broom organizer will be used for accomplishing vocational goals such as folding clothes, sorting clothes by size, restocking gift cards, and storing the rakes and brooms.

The bingo set will make a nice addition to our game collection and it can be played with social distancing in mind. The exercise dice and cards will be used during our Mindfulness Movement block and the yoga mats will be used during the Mindfulness Stretches block. The speaker will be used for background music or sounds throughout the day. The choose-your-own-adventure type books will be read aloud during our Story block to increase student engagement.
