My Project
My students come to school each day excited to learn and they have been working extremely hard this year and have improved so much! They deserve to have snacks and a cooler full of ice cold drinks available to them the last week of school without it being a burden on their parents. Working at a Title I school, getting "extras" from parents can sometimes prove to be hard to nearly impossible due to not having the funds to provide for "extras." Also, having a cooler for the classroom will help with being able to provide ice cold drinks on field days and on field trips, as it will keep lunches cold.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work, less disruptive of their fellow classmates, and are more motivated when they are able to have snacks and drinks while celebrating their successes!
They have worked so hard throughout the year and I feel that they need to be able to just have a snack and take a break to celebrate all that they have accomplished. I believe my students have earned it, and I want to be able to surprise them with simple snacks, fidgets and ice cold drinks for a job well done!
