My Project

My group of twenty kindergartners have worked so hard this school year. For many of these five- and six-year-olds, this was their first, real school experience.

They have made amazing strides in both areas of literacy and math.

They have learned how to identify upper and lowercase letters, identify letter sounds, blend sounds together and segment words and even begin to read! In math, they have learned to count to 100 by 1s, 5s, and 10s. They have learned how to put numbers together by adding and taking numbers away by subtracting numbers to 20.

They have grown so much, both academically and socially, and we want to give a few special days, such as Water Olympics Day and Camping Day to celebrate finishing the school year! Our students will use the sunglasses to keep the sun out of their eyes while playing a variety of these water play games. Students will collaborate with students from other kindergarten classrooms to compete in challenges and relays, just like the summer Olympics.

Please help provide our students with the materials needed to have a fun, outdoor day and to celebrate the success they have made this year. They have earned it!
