I teach a class of 22 amazing kindergartners who are eager to learn and deserve endless resources, experiences, and opportunities. They come from different backgrounds, have a wealth of experiences, and have a lot to contribute to our diverse learning community. They are eager for knowledge and engaging opportunities to learn.
I have a very diverse population at my school and in my classroom, with at least 50% learning English as their second language.
I teach at one of the most diverse schools in the nation!
The children delight in activities that engage their minds and bodies, and they look forward to what each day of the exciting kindergarten world brings them! It is my job to inspire and motivate them in a variety of ways that reach the whole child. Many students come with challenges including ADD, ADHD, and autism, and it is my job to reach, teach, inspire, and love them all!
My Project
We are on our last few sheets of cardstock paper and can really use a replenished supply. With all of the holiday and theme art we have completed for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, apples, pumpkins, snowmen, gingerbread men, etc., we are nearly out of quality paper.
The children love to do art!
It is always their favorite class activity. Many choose to work on art during free choice time. They make beautiful cards and masterpieces of art work. Their individuality and creativity shines through art! My students love to use cardstock for craft paper punches like hearts, snowflakes, snowmen, flowers, stars, etc. They use these punches to make beautiful art pieces for their friends, family, themselves, and me!
They also need colorful markers and laminating sheets to laminate their class work and their artwork! The students love when their work is laminated, preserved, and hung on the walls with shine!
The poly envelopes would be very useful and versatile. I can use them to store the students quality work and art work for the school year. The poly material is weather-proof and damage-proof. A collection of their masterpieces for the year in a beautiful, colorful folder to take home and share with their families on the last day of school would be a memory piece they can cherish and save for a lifetime!
