My Project

Help me teach my second graders about hygiene, self-care, and body image all in one go!

There's nothing more embarrassing than realizing you forgot deodorant on a hot summer day.

Feeling embarrassed can completely take your mind off learning! Help me gather materials for my kids that will normalize taking care of your body and ensuring you feel clean and ready to learn! As we gear up for summer (and puberty), my students and I regularly discuss body odor and other hygiene concerns. I believe in making these conversations normal so that kids know it's not embarrassing to ask for help. With your assistance, my second graders will understand that good hygiene is cool, they'll feel clean, and their minds will be collected and ready to learn.
