This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What makes my students special is the joy and happiness they bring to our classroom each and every day of school. Their generation of their graduating class is very special because they actually have not had a normal year of school yet due to the pandemic starting towards the end of their Kindergarten year. So there are so many things they have missed out on with in person school experiences. They are super motivated and excited to learn and have shown so much academic growth within these first two months of school! As their teacher I want to make sure all of my students have the resources they need to learn and some extra fun academic materials to make learning more engaging and fun!

My Project

The resources for my project will help students in many standards such as Reading: RL.2.5- Reading Literature with those good quality individual student books. Students can read those books at home and practice their reading fluency and comprehension. Also, the online school programs students use with the headphones that are added to this project will help students in many Reading and Math standards. The flexible seating can help increase motivation towards learning by sitting in a fun chair. Every student will have the opportunity to sit in the flexible seating in class.
