My Project
The card game requested in this project is the multiplication edition of Math War Game Cards!! It is a fun and competitive way to help third graders practice their basic multiplication facts. Students can play with family and friends by each flipping over cards and solving them. The player with the highest card value wins both cards. After some exciting rounds of this game, students will be more confident and fluent with their mutiplication facts!!
The basic reason why math fact fluency matters is that it frees up working memory to do more complex mathematical work—like figuring out how to structure a multistep word problem, model a solution, or solve systems of equations.
This project will provide each student with their very own Math War Game Cards. What a great way for students to learn their multiplication facts while having fun and spending quality time with family and friends!! Thank you for considering our classroom project for funding!!
