My Project
My classroom is full of big, vibrant personalities. 2nd grade is a time for immense academic, social, and emotional growth. Many students have trouble identifying feelings and controlling emotions. I want to provide my students with a quiet, calm, and private area in my classroom to learn strategies to regulate and advocate for their feelings. My calm corner will be a place for students to reflect on their behavior, and make a plan to solve their problems. My calm corner will also provide sensory activities for students who need some extra stimulation and redirection.
