My Students
Student at my high school are 95% of the Haitian and African American background. They are apart of the inner city schools in Miami Dade County. I say that to say that people outside of their community does not always understand them. So their potentially is often overlooked, but in my personal opinion they are the gems of Miami Dade County Public Schools.
The programs at North Miami often dominate over our competition in other schools despite the lack of funding that is given or lack of resources that our students have at home.
My Project
The student will use the Immersion Circulator daily to enhance the technology in the class room while moving to what the industry is going to. They will do this by learning the math, science, and culinary arts skills it takes to cook the product.
The product will enhance there training by give them the real world experience of what the future is going to be coming to by the time they are working in the food service industry.
At the end of the class the students will have learned new technology and learn how to apply what they have learned in the café that they run.
More than half of students from low‑income households
