Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Using a large iPad in small groups will help bring learning alive and reading forward. The cookie sheets will be used to provide a place for students to build words with our magnetic letters!

Gathering small groups of students for individualized instruction is a huge win for us with the various levels of learners we reach each day.

Many of our students need extra support and hands-on materials to boost their learning ahead.

With the iPad it will help us in small groups to see learning materials clearly and interact with them. I plan on using a program of intervention called UFLI which focuses on intensive and direct reading instruction. The cookie sheets will help provide hands-on learning when I add in my own classroom magnetic letters. Coupled with the iPad which will provide a source of visual aid in the lessons.

I so look forward to preparing for the new learners next year and bringing them into the wonderful world of being a reader!
