My students are eager to learn new things daily. My students come from a Title I school setting which is 100% CPE free breakfast and lunch. My students are excited to learn and are hardworking in a varied academic range.
Cooking is a life skill that is essential for students to learn to do with ease and assistance.
I would like my students to experience the different cooking techniques that go with the themes taught. Students will learn the importance of good measurement, new recipes, and easy snack ideas for the home.
My Project
Cooking is a skill that all students need to learn and be able to feel confident when doing. Students need to be able to read recipe cards, make decisions on what tool to use to be successful when creating and following the recipe, and have the background on what makes a healthy meal.
Students will learn to make easy snacks, breakfast, dinner, and lunches!
These foods will be accompanied by a complete, detailed experience and a yummy result! Students will have the opportunity to write their own recipe and change an existing recipe. We will practice measuring, proper tool use, and explore new, easy meals!
