My Project

My kids are so excited about this. In our classroom, we have an AeroGarden where we grow a multitude of things including vegetables. They love going over to the Aero Garden. I am writing this proposal so I will, hopefully, be able to answer those questions for them. But what's next? That is the question they keep asking. What will we get to do when the vegetables have grown? It's a reasonable question. However, we do not have a kitchen at our school that the kids can use, but they want to cook.

They want to learn about healthy food, nutrition, and so much more.

I know this because they keep asking. I am writing this so that hopefully I will be able to answer these questions. I want to give them the supplies they need to cook healthy foods right in our classroom. They will learn about washing vegetables, preparing them, cooking them, and finally cleaning up their mess. This would be an awesome opportunity, and they are so excited at the thought of this being a reality for them! With your help, my students would be able to make applesauce for Johnny Appleseed Week, and they would be able to learn the important and appropriate way to clean up after cooking. By having the cleaning supplies on hand my students would be able to take part in learning how to clean cooking utensils and cookware.
