Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Every week the 12 students in our Autism Classroom participate in a cooking group led by the school speech therapists and occupational therapists. We practice A LOT of important skills like following a recipe, requesting, cutting, stirring, waiting our turn, cleaning up, and so much more!

Our kids have so much fun participating in this group every week but we go through a lot of paper plates, plastic spoons, cleaning wipes (we like to get messy), and paper towels among other supplies.

We could use a replenishment of our supplies so that we can keep having fun during cooking group for years to come!

We also would like to give our students their own apron and chefs hat next year to really make the group extra special. Thank you so much for your help!
