My Project
My students have recently arrived in the United States from many different countries such as Ukraine, Vietnam, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, and Russia. They are learning basic interpersonal communication skills in English. These linguistic skills are needed in every day, social face-to-face interactions at school as well as in their communities. Materials such as Block Play People, a teaching globe, and puppets will help us have conversations about where they are from, how they feel, tell about their families, and much, much more.
These resources will be used daily and will help make communication easier and more concrete for these English language learners.
