My Students
I am the proud teacher of sixth to eighth grade students with a passion for STEM. Together, the students and I have created an environment that supports sharing ideas, building trust, and passing no judgment through project-based learning.
Students develop their engineering skills through the process of designing, prototyping, testing, and redesigning.
From spending their lunch periods to complete a project, to organizing a school-wide Girls in STEM day, my students are driven to push past boundaries and shatter expectations. These students have no limitations to their creativity and determination. With the proper tools, they can become an unstoppable force.
My Project
Throughout our STEM curriculum, students learn the importance of design, accuracy, and precision. Students must work together to create solutions to various engineering problems using their STEM skills. As pioneers of technology, the students frequently need to use computers for Game Design in order to complete various class projects. This choice not only allows them to build their design skills, but also opens the door to their creativity.
User Interface and User Experience are an extremely important element of game design.
In order to full test student programmed games, they need access to PC Controllers. These controllers will give students a better feel for their games in order to optimize understanding.
