This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend a high-poverty, Title I school in Arizona. More than half of the families of my students do not have enough money to buy art supplies for school and are considered low-income households. Also, Title I schools have a high percentage of students who receive free and reduced-price breakfast/lunch.
My students not only come from low-income, high-poverty homes but struggle with school in other areas (math, reading, and science).
I would like to create a sculpture made out of paper with my art students. Thank you for your help!
My Project
The aluminum wire, masking tape, and pliers will help my students in art class. The materials will allow students to experiment with wire as an art medium to create a wire sculpture. Students will use their creativity and imagination in order to make a wire sculpture. These materials will help students learn about "line" as an element of art and also encourage them to take a risk when creating art.
Thank you so much for helping students in the school make wonderfully creative art projects.
Thank you for your kindness and for supporting the arts in education!
