Continuity of the SeaPerch ROV Program Into 2023-2024

Help me give my students the opportunity to engage with the SeaPerch ROV to construct from the circuit board controller to the PVC pipe frame build which is a 100% hands on project-based learning activity.

My Project

Economic projections point to a need for approximately one million more STEM professionals than the U.S. will produce at the current rate over the next decade if the country is to retain its historical preeminence in science and technology. - President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. Offering the opportunities to emerge themselves in project based learning that has real-world applications as they dive deeper, STEM allows them to make the connection in their lives.

Your assistance will allow students the chance to continue to explore robotics through the SeaPerch platform: cultivating understanding of robotics, developing insights into underwater transportation, and nurturing their problem solving and creativity skills.

This initiative is the next step in the evolution of an underwater robotics program that will allow students to learn, to share, and to grow as future engineers. We did not build our bot in time as we meet on a limited basis.

As the students are veteran builders we should get the ROV designed, built, tested in time for the 2023-2024 regional competition.
