My Students
Our sixth grade is comprised of 130 amazing students, many of whom come from bilingual households and receive free or reduced-price lunch. Thriving in an ocean of opportunity, on last year's end of grade test, the shark team showed remarkable academic growth, regardless of demographics. In fact, several of our learners made grade level proficiency in Language Arts and Math for the first time in several years. We need your assistance as we swim toward the shore of academic success.
My Project
We are seeking your support as we continue our attempt to meet our need of a classroom set of Chromebooks and additional technology, so that these valuable resources will always be available in our classroom for use with interactive software, for research and projects and to enhance mathematical understanding. In additional to the Chromebooks we are requesting a storage center for our DonorsChoose.org Headphones, a Calculator Caddy for our DonorsChoose.org Calculators, a replacement Chromebook charger and label tape for identifying all of our DonorsChoose.org supplies.

One key to their success was the use of computer resources in the classroom (IXL, Ten Marks, and Khans Academy).
The shortfall is that we have to share a computer cart with four classes on our grade level and the technology department in our school can pull the carts to meet testing needs in the building. We would like your help in acquiring five (5) Chromebook mini computers for the Math Class.
