This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Teaching in a low income area can sometimes be difficult. My students face challenges that others children and even adults do not have to worry about. That is why once they walk into my classroom, it is a safe place. It is a place where they can explore, learn and express themselves without consequence. Above all else, they can be children. My students are full of life and keep a smile on my face. Although we may not always get along, we are a family and we have each other's back!

My Project

Having this computer will enable me to continue my education towards my degree in Clinical Mental Health. Being able to get this degree will allow me to support the social-emotional development needs of my students. My students endure things that students should not have to go through. Their emotional needs need to be met in addition to academic gaps can be closed. I look forward to building more relationships with students and catering to the whole child. Thank you for your time and interest in helping me to help my kids.
