Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As my students have different needs and interest, I hope to provide items that can meet those needs. Some of my students need fidget items at their desk while others just need interesting items to look at from their desk in order for them to stay seated during instruction.

Sensory toys can help students with disabilities, such as Autism, focus and help relieve some of their stress and anxiety.

Navigating emotions is a very important skill students need to learn. The toys I have selected are designed to help my children regulate emotions so that they may focus on academics. These fidget toys will be helpful in our group lessons to keep them on task, listening, attending to the material, and increasing comprehension and participation. The quieter fidgets like the tangle and sensory balls are always the best options as they are quiet fidgets and often aren't disruptive to others around them.
