Help me give my students consumable materials such as milk, fresh fruit, wires, batters and other science lab materials via gift cards to Walmart and Lowe's.
Every week my grocery list consists of science lab supplies. This week's list, has mini marshmallows, toothpicks, strawberries, kiwis, bananas, and toilet paper. None of these items are for my house. They are instead for my students. One 7th grade class will be using the mini marshmallows to build DNA stands, the fruit to look at DNA. The toilet paper will be used by my other 7th-grade classes when they construct a model of Earth's 4.6 billion-year history. Every week, I purchase materials from the grocery store for my students to use in labs. By donating to purchase these groceries, I will be able to stop using my grocery budget each week to fund my classroom.
I will be able to continue to provide my students with engaging, hands-on, learning experiences each week.
This will directly contribute to my student's learning experiences.
