My Students

My Pre-K class is energetic about learning new ideas. They enjoy hands-on activities to reinforce what we are learning about. These hands-on materials will help them have concrete experiences.

They learn better when they can use all of their senses to experience something.

It becomes concrete when we incorporate as many as we can. Children learn through experiences, and my students love to learn.

Developmentally Appropriate Practice is important to me because it helps the children feel autonomous, and helping them accomplish that is so rewarding.

My Project

Conscious Discipline is a training that we have gone to over the last few months. It teaches the children how to manage their emotions in healthy ways, and shows them calming strategies.

The Sophie doll and books will bring to life what we have been teaching them.

The stories will give examples of how to put what we are teaching into action.

The CD's will give us many songs and connection ideas to help grow our school family closer. Children love to dance and move, and they will be helping make neurological connections while doing so.

I Love You Rituals are a connection experience. Having these posters will not only help with literacy, but will give us a visual to decide which one we should do.
