My students come from all backgrounds. I have low income and high income students. I have seven class periods with around 130 students in total. My students are coming from an elementary school where they only switched classes once to a school where they will switch classes all day.
My students can feel very intimidated or scared when they come to my school, but I strive to do the best I can to make them feel at home.
Having these items to help class run smoothly and will help my students cope more quickly with the switching of classes. This will also help them succeed in class by keeping them organized.
The materials that I need for my classroom will help my students and my classroom be organized. The timer is to help my students work in a timely manner. My class periods are only 45 minutes, and we have a lot to cover in that 45 minutes. The timer is necessary to keep students on track.
My students will benefit from an organized classroom so that the class period will run smoothly and the focus can be on learning!
The file folders and file storage will help with their graded papers and missing papers. The shelves are to house the hundreds of books that I have for my students to read. The storage caddies are for the individual groups in my classroom and will house the supplies that they need for the lessons of the day.
