This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Wow, the world right now feels almost surreal. Like most people out there my job description changed over night. My students are in even crazier situations. When we Zoom you can hear parents, siblings, other family members, and/or the TV behind them. They have a new environment to work in whether it is a good one or a bad one.

My students are trying to learn the best they can with whatever they have at home.

They have few resources at home. I need your help to make sure my students can get the materials they need to succeed in learning when we aren't in the same room.

My Project

While I am separated from my little ones I would like to be able to connect with them. I miss seeing my students grow and learn each day and need a reliable iPad to help reach them on all the the digital platforms we are using at our school. Zoom, Youtube, Google classroom, Seesaw, and Remind are all ways that I have been reaching out to the students.

With the iPad, case, pencil, and headphones I will be able to create videos, do guided drawing lessons, and provide hours of student learning.

Making connections with the student will help them through this uncertain time and keep them excited about learning art.
