Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hello, my students are going to need all the support they can get to transition back to school, while relieving their fears and anxieties returning from the COVID shutdown, coupled with the majority coming from a home life that is is financially challenged and/or learning a new language.
I am planning to do whatever I can this year to help them gain a feeling of safety, to be relaxed, and to gain an understanding of how they can overcome obstacles, exceed expectations, and encourage others along the way.
My Project
By donating the headsets with mics, we will all be able to hear and see each other. The next best thing for us to being all in person. By being able for everyone to hear all the students, regardless of whether they are in the classroom, or are calling from home, they will be better equipped to connect and get to know each other. The beginning of the year is critical for these connections. Every class is like a family. Right now, with everyone in Zoom, they can see each other, but the communication has been limited to chat when in groups, because of the devastating feedback from students not having headphones with mics. With these treasures, they will all begin to feel more comfortable with each other and help them to share their thoughts and work as we move through the school year.
Corona has stolen so much from so many people.
My desire is for the students to have clear communication and collaboration with all the students in their class.
When I use my headset with the class Zoom session, the kids in class can't hear. When I don't use my headset, I can't hear the kids online. This gift would be so appreciated. Thanks for your time, generosity, and support.
