Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My group of mixed-aged, motivated-to-learn students are amazing kids. They may come with varying needs, such as learning disabilities, speech and language delays, autism, or attention concerns, but they love the time that they get to learn with me in a small group because there is always great progress made.

There's nothing like seeing a student who struggles to read actually learn specific reading strategies and crack the code.

This year, I have the privilege of working with eleven students in our hybrid learning model.

My Project

I am asking for Chromebooks so that my SPED students have the opportunity to work on important skills while at school.

During our literacy and math sessions, students will have the chance to connect on a Chromebook for additional support at their specific learning level.

Many programs differentiate to the student's ability, allowing for additional practice on objectives they need to master. These programs also allow the students to move past objectives already mastered.

Having the Chromebooks will open up the opportunity to access this material during our time together and continue the great learning that occurs here at school.
