My Project

The classroom library is the heart of the learning community, providing students with access to stories that inspire, challenge, and connect them to the world around them. Patricia Polacco’s books, in particular, offer powerful opportunities for students to explore themes of family, resilience, cultural heritage, and empathy. Her beautifully illustrated and heartfelt stories engage students and promote a love of books and reading.

Patricia Polacco's books resonate deeply with children and help spark meaningful conversations about kindness, understanding, and perseverance.

I am hoping to expand the collection of Patricia Polacco's books that are in the classroom library. This ensures that students have access to literature that reflects diverse experiences and promotes social-emotional growth. An investment in these books is an investment in our students’ growth as readers and as empathetic individuals. Your support will help us continue to foster a classroom environment where all students feel inspired to read, reflect, and connect through the power of story.
