This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in a small rural area. My school serves students in grades K-5. My school provides rigorous academics, excellent teachers, and a safe learning environment. I teach 3 fourth grade classes of 25 students daily. My 4th grade students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.
My Project
Providing my students with four AMAZON FIRE tablets with protective covers will assist my students with enhancing instruction and creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning for all students. The AMAZON FIRE tablets will allow my students to participate in software programs that facilitates learning at all academic levels. The students will participate in programs that will build academic skills in reading and mathematics.
In addition, there are multiple software programs that can be downloaded onto the AMAZON FIRE tablets that will allow my students to become actively engaged in our classroom.
Implementing AMAZON FIRE TABLETS, students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their math skills to become academically successful. There are several programs that will help our students, including math supports where students can have access to digital graph paper, calculators, or digital manipulatives.
