Connecting Students with Chromebooks

Help me give my students two Chromebooks to use while at home during distance learning.

My Students

What a strange new world we are living in. Thankfully, my school district was better prepared and organized than some I have heard. We have been giving students graded work that continued to increase their learning, not just maintain what they had already been taught.

Still, many of my students struggle with online assignments because they lack the basic technology to log on and complete the work.

Prior to this, students would occasionally use their phones at home to do their work, but for today's distance learning environment, a simple phone is not robust enough to handle all that is required. They need help to bridge the gap between surviving and thriving in this new distance learning environment.

My Project

I currently have several Chromebooks that my students are using during this unprecedented time in education, however, it is not enough to meet all the needs that I currently have. Also, I will likely need to replace some of my Chromebooks soon since my pair of Chromebooks are over five years old and are starting to show some wear and tear. These Chromebooks will allow me to continue to provide access to my students during their time learning at home. With these Chromebooks, they can continue to learn new material and increase their knowledge rather than just maintain what they already have.
