A Chinese Immersion Classroom is unlike any other classroom. Hearing "Wow, that's awesome!" comes from students in every grade level when hearing about the Chinese Immersion Program, happens almost every day!
The students in the Chinese Immersion Program love learning in general.
They are motivated and constantly wanting to learn more, more, more! They are some of the brightest and best of their grade level! Just one week with this group, and you will find that you are connected to them in some way.
Our school is a unique school in the district. It has a mixture of Title One and Immersion students. It has low-income families, military families, and students of all race and background!
My Project
While most people are switching to Chrome Books, we need Ipads for many reasons. Ipad's have a plethora of literacy tools. It is a great way to motivate students to learn new vocabulary and play word games.
Also, it is very important that our students start practicing their writing in Chinese. This can not be done on Chrome Books, but can definitely be done on Ipads!
Ipad's help learners of all types from the auditory learner, to the hands on learner!
In a world of changing technology and Ondine state testing, our students need to constantly use technology, in as many ways possible.
The more we keep them connected, the easier it will make it in the future!
