Help me give my students LYTek Hardcover Sketch Books. These books will be a protected place for students to keep their weekly drawings. At the end of the year, students will have a book compiled of their art.
My students are my pride and joy! We are a diverse group but, we are very much a class family. They enjoy go-noodle dancing, hands-on science and math, and absolutly love our Friday art day! Relationships are huge in our classroom. Students have learned to encourage and cheer each other on when trying new things. This gives each of them a great sense of safety. They come to school each day excited to learn and participate in new things!
Many students enter my classrom saying they do not know how to draw because it's too hard!
They lack confidence, and I want to provide the tools and encouragement they need to gain confidence.
Our school is located in Northwest Arkansas, which is the melting pot of many different cultures. As a teacher, I explore many different activities to let every student share and learn about each other. Each student enters kindergarten at a different level and my goal is to incorperate a variety of learning experiences that assists students to become life long learners.
My Project
Students will use these LYTek Hardcover Sketch Books to keep their weekly art. Throughout the year, students will have a sturdy and safe place to keep their works of art. The book's pages are thick so that each art piece is protected from bleed-through. At the end of the year, students will have a book filled with their art and more pages to continue drawing and painting into the summer.
When children draw what they see through an artist's eye, the words and descriptions seem to flow naturally.
Art provides children a meaningful way to learn to read, write, create, communicate, and socialize in an exciting and purposeful manner. With your donation, all students will have a book of art to share with family and friends for many, many years.
