Greetings, everyone. Thank you for stopping by and viewing our project! These six iPads will further augment the visual arts classroom with more technology tools for students! Last year, for the first time, my classroom received a Smartboard on wheels, allowing students to have more interactive digital games and lessons on a larger print scale... We are grateful that students in grades 1-5 have a Chromebook, which allows students to access various district-approved apps such as Adobe Express and Spark.
In my classroom, students create art through drawing, painting, mosaicing, arts integration, and digital art!
They have fun working independently or in collaborative teams.
These six iPads will allow students to participate in Apple activities using Everyone Can Create lessons in four project-based areas: drawing, photo, video, and music. In addition, students will have access to Garage Band, Keynote or Pages, Clips, or iMovie apps to advance their digital skills further!
The technology goals for this project are as follows:
1) Provide students the tools to express themselves and communicate new ideas through music, drawing, video, and photography.
2) Provide extra digital support to 5th-grade art students applying to middle school Creative and Performing Arts schools in March. These students must have an art portfolio (digital), write an essay, and do a panel interview.
3) Provide students with quality content, new ways to access it, and tools to make it relevant to their world.
4) Enhance the socioemotional ways students create and work
together toward a shared purpose — allowing
more opportunities for students to form relationships and
contribute their unique talents to meaningful work.
5)Develop original ideas, build critical thinking skills, and
discover their potential.
6) Utilize assistive technologies to move independently and build a personal learning path.
7) Supports learning through discovery, inquiry, and creation across all subjects.
