My Project

My students have grown so much this year, but I'm noticing that they struggle with technology over-use. They haven't quite developed the brain capacity to multi-task, but they sure try! There's a lot of temptation to play games, email friends, etc. In the meantime, the paper-based assignments I give them kill a lot of trees and Xeroxing costs a lot of planning time.

I would like to incorporate enough dry erase vinyl dots around my classroom so that each student has one.

I will put them in places that require kids to get out of their seat. This will increase opportunities for collaboration, whole-class student engagement and reflection. This novel approach to reading and writing instruction will make class a bit more fun too.
