My Students

Our school is sixty percent free or reduced price lunch and filled with beautiful diversity. We have representatives from thirty-three different countries across the world.

We have close to five hundred students ranging from pre-k through fifth grade, all coming from mixed backgrounds.

Our classrooms are inclusive, meaning special education students will be found in every single room.

I teach a multi-age classroom that includes students in third, fourth, and fifth grade. The learning that occurs between all three grades is beautiful!

My Project

These books will be used daily in reading, social studies, and sciences classes.

These books will be used to enrich students' reading experiences and allow them to have cross-curricular learning experiences.

These books will help connect their content learning and allow for them to dive deeper into the subjects that they are learning. We have experienced that when students are able to do this their understanding of the content is much deeper and lasts much longer.

Many of these books also offer a fiction and nonfiction pairing so that students can clearly see a difference between these two types of books. These books will greatly enrich our classroom.
