This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
These students always strive to do their best while in school. These students have a love for absorbing new material. They are eager to learn and always engaging in meaningful classroom conversation. Their love for school is so rewarding and gives me a reason to keep teaching. These students are bright and most of them are funny and full of smiles.
My Project
My first grade students are like little sponges, absorbing most anything that comes through their passing. When these young students begin to use these critical thinking skill games (Long/ Short Vowel dominoes, HeadBand Charades, Create a sentence word card builders and Perfection) it will allow them to solve problems however they may maneuver through it.
These mind games will serve a great purpose of covering a plethora of skills like, memory recall and time consciousness, sentence writing, social/emotional awareness with their peers while engaged in solving problems activities.
These games are an excellent way to jump start young learners ability to solve problems no matter how they work it out with their peers, as long as they can solidify the problems together.
