Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Currently, I teach second grade at a Title I school in middle Georgia. All of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. I have seventeen energetic, eager, and loving second graders. My students have a variety of interest from sports to historical figures to STEAM activities.

My students have a contagious love for learning.

Their love of knowledge and learning excites me to teach them every day. I constantly search for ways to make my instruction more meaningful and exciting for them. This led me to create this project.

My Project

As our school begins to utilize more online resources to help students to learn, it is becoming more and more difficult to provide my students with an ample amount of time to learn due to a lack of resources.

More access to technology in the classroom will help my group of diverse learners keep up in the fast-paced world of technological advances.

Currently, my students have shared access to four computer stations and three iPads.

My students deserve the opportunity to extend and enrich their learning through the use of technology. This will ensure that we produce college and career ready students.
