Connect and Collaborate Community Carpet

My students need a big, comfy learning carpet where they can find their place easily to learn together.

My Students

My students and co-teachers start each day together on the carpet. Students come in each day excited to learn and play with their friends. We are a multi-age next generation classroom that enjoys learning through inquiry and personalized goals.

My students want a comfortable, relaxing carpet where there is enough room for all to learn.

Currently, they are sitting on a old, dark remnant that is literally ripping apart and, let's face it, is beginning to smell! We need a place to come together and focus on learning instead of having the distraction of an old, smelly rug.

My Project

This project will make a difference by providing a clean and comfy area for my students to learn and collaborate. My students are in a multi-grade level learning community and we collaborate through inquiry projects throughout the day. A place to discuss projects as well as develop our community is needed to allow my students to feel comfortable which, essentially, motivates them to learn.

This carpet will also allow us to practice our community circles, restorative practices, and mindfulness throughout the day.

During these times of the day, students spend time reflecting on their learning and regulate themselves. This allows them to feel safe and focused. I need your support to make this project a reality! Please consider donating!
