Help me give my students the opportunity to heal from their past traumatic experiences and plan for the future that is in front of them with journals and clip art.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love working with my students! I look forward to making sure they are okay mentally, physically, emotionally, and educationally. I am creating this project to work with a small group of female students that have experienced past/current trauma. I believe that once we can heal from our past/current circumstances, students can and will thrive in school and in society.
I would like to use the guided journals to help my students take a deeper look into themselves, and discover what is holding them back from being their best.
In today's society a lot of students suffer from mental health issues, depression and anxiety. This project, if funded, will help my students have an outlet by addressing their feelings, concerns and making peace with their past.
