Our school is a beloved landmark of the community, being established in 1950. Many of my students are farm kids as our school boundaries include 3 smaller farm towns. They work hard and love helping. Our school has a high enough population of students that get free or reduced price lunch to qualify as a Title I school, but the school district has too many Title I schools, so we don't get the official designation and accompanying funding.
My students are kind and curious.
They love active learning, social studies, science, and art.
Several boys in my class and one girl LOVE football, but we don't have any footballs among our class recess equipment. We have a couple jump ropes and two basketballs.
My kids need new balls so that we can play together as a class.
I want to teach the rest of my students how to play football. I think it would be confidence-building and bonding. Having both nerf and real footballs will enable my students to practice with softer balls until they feel confident. I'm also asking for a soccer ball and a pack of raquetballs (which my kids use to play "wall ball").
