Conectando Idiomas: Tech for English Language Learners
Help me give my students a laptop to support English language learners with interactive tools, translation, and multimedia lessons, bridging the digital divide and helping them build language and academic skills.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an elementary school teacher, I am dedicated to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment, especially for my English language learners (ELLs). A new laptop would be a game-changer for my students, providing them with essential digital tools to build language skills, confidence, and academic success.
With an updated laptop, I can:
✅ Use interactive language-learning programs to support vocabulary and comprehension
✅ Provide real-time translation tools to help bridge language gaps
✅ Access read-aloud and speech-to-text features to support emerging readers and writers
✅ Create engaging multimedia lessons with visuals, videos, and interactive activities tailored to diverse learning needs
✅ Offer differentiated instruction and personalized digital resources for students at various language proficiency levels
Many of my students don’t have access to technology at home, making classroom access to these tools even more critical. With your support, I can ensure they receive the language support they need to thrive academically and build the communication skills that will empower them for life.
