Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The late Dr. Karyn Purvis, Director of Texas Christian University’s Child Development Center, stated, “Scientists have recently determined that it takes approximately 400 repetitions to create a new synapse in the brain – unless it is done with play, in which case, it takes between 10 and 20 repetitions!” These Manipulatives and sensory material will change the learning experience for my Kindergarten babies. These learning materials, counting coins, big boggle and build a word and magnet board, will build solid concrete connections in their brains and help my students learn better. In addition to that, students are more engaged in learning through play! My Kindergarten babies are at the age where hands-on learning is a must.
