My Students

The third graders at my school are totally inquisitive. They are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions. Since we all know that first grade is the building block of each student's future education, we realize that the third graders this year are different because they missed part of their first grade year due to Covid and being “homeschooled” with the assistance of teachers across the nation.

Currently, we are trying to play catch up with these young minds.

These third graders are compassionate and creative, to say the least. As third graders, they are starting to be more independent, and they like to explore using technology to learn and master skills in all subjects.

I currently have one student who struggles with direct instruction from an individual, but he excels when he is tasked with an assignment on the computer. We are working on personal skills. This area is something else that students had limited opportunities to learn about while quarantined inside a home for so many months.

My Project

These computers will help support my students learning by leveling instruction directly needed by each individual student. This will allow my students to be engaged continually throughout the day with specific learning goals on their specific levels.

Students will be using Chromebooks every day during math and reading instruction.

This will enable students struggling in both math and reading to fine-tune skills that will increase their individual achievement levels. By providing a device for each individual student, my students will be opened up to additional opportunities that have never previously been provided.
