it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We need two new computer monitors. We have two brand new computers but the old monitors the school has won't let us use them to their fullest potential.
I have a truly wonderful class of 30 identified gifted and high achieving students.
My class is a 4/5 split. I have 14 fourth graders and 16 fifth graders. Most of the students come from socioeconomically disadvantaged households. Despite their disadvantages they are among the kindest, most caring, hardest working, and self-motivated kids I have ever had the pleasure to call my students.
My Project
I am asking for a two new monitors, to go with our two new desktop computers. I am trying to establish a mini computer center in my classroom. With the new monitors our new computers will be able to work to their full potential. All students deserve and need to be conversant with technology. It is not going away.
Today's world moves so fast, and the need to have global access to information grows exponentially year after year.
I hate to put my students at a disadvantage. It is hard to be a digital native when you are hardly conversant in how to use technology. The ability to access information to use their E-texts and communicate with like minded students across the nation and world is severely limited, by a lack of technology. I hope to solve this problem step by step with the help of people like YOU.
