My Students

Remember Encyclopedias? All we have for information is an outdated set of Encyclopedia Britannica. We need computers to access current information. As our enrollment has expanded and a new classroom has been created without a single computer!

Our school is a hidden gem in an urban setting.

We are as diverse as the cosmopolitan city we live in. We are a stones throw away from silicon valley, yet we have no computers in our classroom! The students are eager learners who want to know the current updates on the Mars rover or what has been discovered by NASA recently.

My Project

Writing is one of the hardest things to learn and I want to instill the pride of writing by letting the students type, print their final writing drafts to share proudly in the class and with their families. By demonstrating with a current laptop using the in class projector I will demonstrate how to put images in our papers and create power points for presentations. Our students deserve access to current information for doing research and learning about current discoveries in our world. I have very curious, engaged learners who need computer skills to compete in today's world and be successful as adults.
