Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am tasked with the pleasure of teaching enthusiastic third grade students in all subject areas. These students are curious, intelligent, and creative beyond all measures. They attend a Visual and Performing Arts Magnet in Los Angeles. Being that our school is an Arts Magnet, we try to integrate art in all forms into as many subject areas as possible. The students at this school come from various backgrounds with various life experiences. Funding for some of our materials is difficult to come by. I appreciate you coming to our page and would appreciate and support you could give.
My Project
My class needs Sphero Robots to help us learn how to code. We have been implementing coding into our curriculum over the school year. The students have really been enjoying it. It is important that we are preparing the students in this country for the future, and many jobs will be in the computer programming industry. Sphero is a robot that works with a tablet, and the students can actually have it move around based on the coding they program. They are engaging, entertaining, and the students learn a whole lot about the world of coding. Please consider donating to our project.
