Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My first graders are creative, inquisitive and caring. They treat one another with kindness, willing to help their peers and have fun together learning. We are a family. They strive to do their best and have lifelong goals and dreams. They amaze me all the time.

My students are innovative problem solvers.

They love working on tasks that allow them to collaborate with their peers. Their "can do" mindset keeps the positivity in the classroom and the climate welcoming to everyone that walks through our door.

My Project

My students use technology in the classroom daily. During the day students who need extra help in certain areas need computers to work on their individualized interventions in Reading and Math. At the same time students who need extra enrichment need technology also.

The use of the new technology will help students become better readers and mathematicians.

When students are able to learn on their level they become more confident and ready to take on new challenges. My students are brilliant kids who love technology of all types, this is normally the first choice of any workstation or option to work with in class.

The requested Fire Tablets (with cases) in our classroom will help my students utilize their intervention, push them further with enrichment, and allow them to practice useful online research skills.
